No More Hoarding
We’ve pretty much all moved in now, so I’ve been taking the time to back to clean up our old rooms and pick up the last of our stuff. Under Em’s bed was bags and bags of our old school books, school planners, text books and revision guides from Secondary School. It never felt right to throw away our education and hard work, but I really want to maintain keeping my room organised and tidy and I haven’t ever given a thought to those school books until now, so today I sorted through them and threw most of them into the recycling bin.
However, I did want to document my hoarding ways, as well as a reminder of my school stuff. I found nearly all of my yearly school planners (I remember everyones excitement at getting a new planner and filling in all our information/calender dates and by the end of year they were all tatty), the script from the play “Oliver” that I participated in in Year 7, out of date revision text books, my old Anthology with all my notes and a lot of exercise books.
Now that we have internet in the new house, I can start blogging more again!

The plan to move house is moving forward quick. I’ve already moved nearly all my shoes, and now my books and magazines after sorting through them. I never realised how many shoes, bags, books and magazines I have, as well as boxes full of my Uni work and art sketchbooks. I started putting some things on eBay, and I’m so happy I’ve sold a few things already!
Anyway, I made myself sort through my belongings before packing them up and I’ve thrown away so much. I’m such a packaging hoarder! I’ve been thorough though, and thrown away/recycled a lot, and put aside along of things I could probably donate to charity. Whilst I’ve got the ball rolling, I’m going to keep up the momentum and keep on sorting and moving things.
Just wanted to share a few hoarder photos : travelcards from 2003 (when kids one day travelcards zone 123456 were £2), top up vouchers, my very old bus pass ID, clothes tags, Dymo labels, plastic balloon things from Fili, and other little bits I’ve kept stashed away.

Haul - Make Up
On a day to day basis, my make-up routine is really different. For work, I either go in bare faced or just simple mascara and blush. When I go out, depending on how my skin is and what I’m wearing, I’ll do liquid eyeliner and maybe a little bit of foundation and blush.
However, recently, I’ve really been into my skin care routine and make-up routine. I’ve cut back on my Clarisonic Mia 2, only using it once a day now, sometimes every other day, and gone back to using a cleansing lotion when I don’t use my Clarisonic.
For my make-up routine, I’ve never bothered using concealer. Whenever I broke out, I just let my spots be, only using a spot gel and allowing them to heal up on their own, displaying them on my bare-face. But now that I have a few scars at the moment, I ventured into trying out the Maybelline Fit me Concealer for both my scars and under-eyes. So far, the concealer works great for my under-eyes, definitely helps brightens up my face, but it doesn’t give enough coverage for my spots. I swatched the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, but my skin color is bang in the middle of two of the shades. Boohoo.
Lastly, a quick mention of the Bare Minerals Customizable Starter Kit that I bought recently, after being color matched in Debenhams and getting the full starter kit applied to my face. i never thought I would use a powder on my face, but I’m really liking this starter kit. The color I chose gives me a nice, tanned, glowy look and the bronzer is amazing. I also bought the highligher (since it was on sale) and I love that too. Just a small amount is so subtle yet you can see the difference.
The starter pack includes Original SPF 15 Foundation, Mineral Veil, Warmth all-over face color, Prime Time Foundation Primer, Full Flawless face brush, Flawless face brush, Concealer brush and DVD. Considering that the Foundation is £25 on it own, £49 for the starter pack is a wicked price!

Pinterest Bedroom Inspiration & Wish List
I’m addicted to Pinterest, especially the DIY & Crafts, Home Decor, Weddings and Women’s Fashion categories. Since the plan of moving house looks like it’s going ahead, I’ve started taking my Home Decor pins more seriously, looking at colors, room layouts and styling to see how I could incorporate it into my new room.
Just sharing a few of my favourite pins. A lot of white and blush pink color schemes, nicely styled dressing tables, upholstery and acrylic furniture, flowers and well organised displays. I made a quick wish list based on this theme that’s emerging, and ooo I’m excited!

Essie Ballet Slippers
I don’t normally gravitate towards light colored nail polishes. I normally go for the dark colors, even bright dark colors. But I wanted to try something new, and there have been a few Essie colors that a lot of people rave about. I initially wanted to get Fiji, but I chose Ballet Slippers instead. If you compare some of their colors, they are very very similar but I think I chose Ballet Slippers as it had a hint of pink whereas Fiji was a bit too white for me.

Mini Haul - Boots & Topshop
Being home for the past few days going through beauty blogs and watching Youtube gurus had me wanting to try a few new things. So I made a list and before heading out on Friday night, I literally was in Westfield White City for 32 minutes and picked up some things.
I replaced my mascara and eyeliner since they’re nearing their end, and anyway you’re meant to replace them every 3 months, and another Essie nail polish. I do like Essie, it dries quick and I love their colors, but without a topcoat it starts to fade at the ends really quickly.
I’m not a big make-up person, as in I don’t wear a full-face on an everyday basis. I go to work with mascara and a bit of blush. Depending on how I’m feeling and how my skin/face is, when I go out I’ll maybe put on eyeliner or foundation. Although I follow a lot of beauty bloggers and youtubers, which makes me want to try a lot of new products and change up my face routine, I only really buy one or two products every now and again. I thought I would push myself to try new things a tiny bit more regularly since at the end of last year, I finally took the plunge and bought (and wore!) lipstick and I love it. Definitely nice to discover and try new things.

This post is very late and probably quite disappointing. At the end of January we headed to Manchester for a night since I had bought Darlito tickets to football match at the Old Trafford. I didn’t take any pictures really, only a few of the view from our apartment where we had a garden-like balcony. Would’ve been nice to experiment with a long exposure and bokeh (and maybe actually take my camera out) but that’s a lesson for me for next time!

Seeing the Positive
I’ve been so busy working, I haven’t been blogging again. Boo. They’ve cut overtime at work, so although I managed to scrape some shifts, this week I have free so I want to catch up on reading and blogging. I’ve been bad on the reading front too. My 2013 goal was to read 20 books, but I’m still on my first book. Eek!
I never realised this post was still in my drafts and incomplete so it has been sitting there for a while. I wanted to document my room since I’m probably moving house and although I was against the move, I’m seeing the positive in this situation - redecorating my room again! This subject definitely needs it’s own post, but in short, I want to decorate it completely differently from my current room.

Darlito got me a Polaroid two Christmas’ and it has been one of my favourite presents from him so far. Normally a pack of 10 polaroids costs about £10 but I found a 5 pack of 10 for £25 on eBay. Score! Thought I’d share a few of my faves. I really should somehow display all of them in a huge frame, I guess that’s something I can do in my new room :)

I know, I’m so late! The snow has been falling for a while now, but I’ve been working 6 days a week, the only time I get to “play” in the snow is my walk from my garage to my front door, and to be honest, I’ve been more concerned with my drive in the snow than to play in it. However, I love the crunching sound the snow makes when I walk in it!
I’m working all late shifts this week, so I finally got the chance to catch up and write a few blog posts and take some pictures. I’m sick though, so I couldn’t venture out in the snow like I wanted to but at least I’ll get to hear that crunching sound again tonight.
